I’m obsessed with October, and Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. But Halloween with a little one? THE BEST. Their adorable costumes, the excitement they get from trick-or-treating, and all the decorating - Nashville is the best place for us to stretch out the celebrating all month.   • GLOW IN THE PARK HALLOWEEN + MONSTER EYEBALL SCAVENGER HUNT (Various Dates This Month) - All October, guests can climb through creepy courses, search for wandering eyeballs, and swing beneath the lit-up trees while dressed in costume at The Adventure Park at Nashville!

  • MONSTERS & MERRIMENT (10.10) Welcome to Nashville’s Original Halloween Art Show in Whites Creek featuring handmade collectibles, spooky stories, a witch's tea party, costume contests, a pumpkin patch, and candy!

  • BOO AT THE ZOO (10.16 - 11.01) Nashville's family-favorite Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo, returns for 17 nights this October with fall-themed scenes and photo ops, activities around the Zoo, trick-or-treating for the kids, special animal shows, and more!

  • DISTRACTED DRIVING IS SCARY (10.17) A full day of face painting, pumpkin painting, scavenger hunts, costumes, and prizes at Mt. Juliet High School.

  • HALLOWEEN POOCH PARTY (10.24) Cheekwood is hosting a special Halloween event for your four-legged kids! Enter their costume contests, browse the dog-friendly vendors, and delight your furry friend with special treats.

  • GOBLINS & GOODIES (10.24) Come in costume to Veterans Memorial Park for free trick-or-treating and contests!

  • HALLOWEEN IN THE PARK (10.24) Enjoy haunted hayrides, costume contests, pie eating, a corn maze, inflatables, and trick-or-treating at the Sharp Springs Natural Area in Smyrna!

  • PUMPKINFEST (10.24 - 10.25) Downtown Franklin’s annual fall celebration is now two days! Shop seasonal arts and crafts, compete in their famous costume contests, enjoy live music, and a KidsZone - free to attend.
