Beyond excited for one of my favorite wholesome events of the year, Water Lantern Festival, this Saturday at Centennial Park. If you haven’t already, you can enter to win tickets! Before that, though, I definitely recommend watching the Nashville Pride Parade downtown for free. The Pride Festival that follows features an amazing lineup of music and drag performances, plus a kids and family area!

It is officially summer, and well, Tennessee is muggy and hot. So, let the kids and yourselves actually enjoy it, keeping cool at these water-filled funtivities!

• WEEKLY PADDLE AT FALL CREEK BOAT RAMP (6/25) - Meet at the Fall Creek Recreation Center to head out on the water as a group in your kayak or paddleboard. Great for an activity to do with your teenager!

• SPLASH DAYS (6/25-6/28) - Play in the splash pad, get lost in a sea of foam in the bubble blast, or zoom down inflatable water slides at Lucky Ladd Farms.

• WATERFEST (6/26) - Enjoy this free family event celebrating local rivers and streams! The festival will have water-based activities, interactive displays, two waterslides, a splash pad, prize giveaways, and a dance party at Peay Park.

• SMYRNA SPLASH & DASH (6/27) - Join Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center for the Inaugural Splash & Dash, where kids have the chance to participate in marathon-like beginner-friendly activities with swimming, running, medals, and more! Ages 6 -15.

• MATINAE MOVIE MONDAY: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON (6/29) - Get the full movie experience on the giant LED screen at the wavepool after playing all day on the water slides, lazy river, and Kowabunga Beach at Nashville Shores.

• SUMMER SPLASH PRESENTED by ICEE® (7/4 - 8/29) Each Saturday in July and August, guests can experience the Splash Shack at Nashville Zoo while taking advantage of watermelon eating contests, the bubble zone, dunk-a-zookeeper, and more - just bring your essentials!

• MERMAID MONDAYS (7/6 - 7/27) - Every Monday in July at Nashville Shores, kids can meet and pose for photos with a real-life mermaid at Barefootin’ Bay!

• FRIDAY LUAU PARTY (7/10) - Take the fam to Pleasant Green Pool for all-day giveaways, yard games, music, and competitions with a tropical theme.

• SPLASH BASH (7/11) - Mill Ridge Park will have water sprayers, balloons, and slides to keep you cool and entertained, with popsicles and treats provided!

• SUMMER READING: WATER DAY (7/15) - The Millersville Fire Department is having a special sprinkler day at Millersville Community Center - free to attend!
